Helen Ellis Volunteer News
The 2008 Lights of Love Campaign is set to begin.
For nearly a quarter century, the Auxiliary Volunteers of Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital have brought the true meaning of the "season of lights" to the community. The Lights of Love program allows people to express their charitable spirit with a gift to light up the Holiday Donor Tree in the hospital lobby, as well as a "Peace on Earth" sign atop the hospital. A celebration of the season is held on the first Thursday in December in the front parking lot of the hospital. Highlights of the free public event include music of the holidays, a visit by Santa Claus and his elves, and lighting of the angel of peace sign.
