Outpatient Care Center

Surgery used to mean at least an overnight stay in the hospital. But today, a wide variety of procedures can be performed on a same day basis at the Helen Ellis Outpatient Care Center. This means that you are in for surgery in the morning, and back in the comfort of your own home by the same evening, without any compromise of the quality of care.

The Outpatient Care Center was created to provide maximum comfort and convenience for patients and physicians alike. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Our cheerful and friendly staff is attentive to each patient’s needs.

Access to the center couldn’t be easier. A separate express elevator located near the hospital’s front entrance whisks you to our large, 5th floor outpatient waiting room. Once inside, you’ll find four fully equipped operating rooms, a five bed recovery unit and two endoscopy suites.

As a fully integrated department of the hospital, the Outpatient Care Center has access to the hospital’s team of physicians and nurse specialists, critical care capabilities, extensive diagnostic testing, treatment and rehabilitative services.

A wide variety of surgical and other treatment procedures are performed at the Outpatient Care Center, including: general surgery, gynecological procedures, oral surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmologic (eye) treatments, otolaryngology (ear, nose & throat), plastic and reconstructive surgery, podiatric (foot/ankle) treatment, urological procedures, laser surgery, and laparascopic (minimal incision) procedures.
